Fabletics Thinks about the Future

Standard

Fabletics is an activewear brand that is a part of the fashion juggernaut TechStyle Fashion Group. Under the juggernaut’s umbrella, Fabletics is one of the most successful. These days, every popular brand starts out as an e-commerce business, which is not an easy market to find success.

Fabletics does have one clear advantage over other brands. It was co-founded by award-winning actress Kate Hudson. When Hudson joined the team, she immediately had a plan for the company. She wanted to create a brand that sold afforded on-trend activewear. At the time, Fabletics was the only affordable activewear brand.

These days, Fabletics is by no means the only discount retailer selling activewear. Wal-Mart and Target have their own activewear lines, but the fashion isn’t as on-trend as Fabletics’ lines. Activewear is still a growing trend, despite being a $40 billion industry already. By 2020, many experts predict that the market will have double in demand and supply.

Getting in on this growing trend before the explosion was just luck. What wasn’t luck was Fabletics’ strategy for luring new customers to their site. Activewear is most popular amongst millennials, who also love social media. This is where the brilliance of Fabletics’ marketing comes into play.

Marketing strategies aren’t the easiest to understand, but the concepts are easy to understand. Fabletics wanted to have a bright online presence so that new customers could find their business. These days, attracting new customers isn’t as easy as it used to be.

Back in the day, companies just needed to tell people about their products and sell them at fair prices. Now, customers expect a lot more from their favorite brands. Fabletics was founded on a premise that revolved around selling affordable products that customers would actually like and want to buy.

Fortunately, in such a digital world, most of the hard work is done by their members. People love looking up online reviews and learning about businesses before buying anything from them. Fabletics has a brilliant online presence supported by numerous non-sponsored online sources that honestly reviewed their products and found the brand to be worth the money spent.

Of course, some people don’t like Fabletics but that doesn’t stop the 1.2 million monthly members from enjoying all of Fabletics’ discounts. Non-members can even take a lifestyle quiz and see what products they might like.

How The Trabuco Made War Different

Standard

The Trabuco, which was a tool that was similar to a catapult, was used exclusively during times of war. The tool could be used to catapult things over walls and into neighboring cities or it could be used for the sole purpose of destroying a large group of people at once.

The way the machine worked was a large stone, or boulder, was loaded into the scoop-like part of the machine. It was then pulled back from the other side and the force from the pullback would throw the boulder over anything the person was trying to hit. Since trabuco was so big and it took so much effort for people to try and use, there were many people who would have to use it at one time. To make this happen, it required a lot of strength. Entire armies would have to get behind the machine to make sure it was working.

The machine was only used up until around the 11th century according to redetrabuco.com.br. They did not have a good aim which made it hard for people to try and use them. The problem with the lack of aim was that they couldn’t point them exactly where they wanted them and that made things harder on the people who were using them. The armies might be able to direct them into the city, but they couldn’t hit the city center or the group of people who were standing where they wanted to aim the boulder to go.

Another problem was the machine took a long time to use according to merriam-webster.com. Not only did it take long because the entire army had to work together to make sure they were using the sling but it also made it harder for the boulder to get where they were trying to aim. If everyone was working together, the boulder would have to make its way across the wall and over it in time to hit people before they noticed. Trabuco wasn’t very efficient because most people had the ability to get out of the way once they saw a giant boulder slowly flying toward them.

Adam Milstein- A Bridge Between Nations

Standard

Adam Milstein was born in Haifa, Israel, in 1952. His parents had immigrated to Israel from Mexico and Argentina, respectively, and had married in 1950. Their son Adam Milstein would grow up to be an important voice, speaking for their new country in an often-hostile world.

With his two younger siblings, Yehoshua and Dalit, Adam Milstein spent most of his early years in the city of KiryatMotzkin. In 1971, he enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces and served in the Yom Kippur War in 1973. This was a conflict that resulted when an alliance of Arab Muslim nations attempted to seize control of the Sinai peninsula and the Golan Heights from Israel. The war received a lot of international attention because it was, in part, an extension of the cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union. The United States backed Israel, while the Soviet Union backed the Arab states. In the end, the Arab nations were completely defeated, in spite of having superior numbers and the backing of a superpower. This lopsided victory tells us that the Israeli forces must have been made up of some exceptional fighters, of which Mr. Milstein was one. He fought in Egypt under the command of then-general Ariel Sharon, participating in the most dramatic moments of the conflict.

After doing his mandatory service in the IDF, Adam Milstein enrolled in the Technion, which is the Israeli Institute of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and economics in 1978. Shortly after this, he went into real estate, where he prospered greatly. In 1981, he and his family moved to the United States, where they have also prospered in real estate. he received a Master’s Degree in business administration from the University of Southern California in 1983.

Throughout all this, he has remained a passionate activist advocating for the interests of his birth country. He and his wife started the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, an organization which seeks to connect young Jewish people with their roots and heritage in a positive and educational way. He is founder and chairman of the Israeli-American Council, and is involved in a number of other Israel advocacy groups such as StandWithUs, Israel On Campus Coalition, Hasbara Fellowships, Jewish Funder’s Network, Birthright Israel, and numerous others. He has used these connections to combat anti-Israel propaganda at all levels of society, serving as a bridge between two nations that were destined to share a common historical bond and more
