Serge Belamant’s story inspires many. Born in France, he is an expert on a level of his own and a holder of patent rights in the industry of blockchain technology. Though born in the French town of Tulle, he was not to spend his life here. Instead, he moved to South Africa where he attended college at the University of Witwatersrand. Here, he was approached by VISA to develop a chip-enabled card which is the ultimate pioneer of debit and credit cards using chips as we know them today.
Serge Belamant was to later design his newest brainchild, Zilch Technology which is a UK-based firm and is a member of a couple of Board of Advisors in Medikredit Integrated Healthcare Solutions and Prism Group Holdings as well. In his interview with inspires, he presented a brief overview of his personal story and won many accolades while at it.

In it, he disclosed that the idea to start Zilch Technology was actually inspired by his son, Philip. From such a humble beginning the idea became an instant hit and is today a very profitable venture which he says he does not regret for even one moment. The story actually goes back all the way to how he got his very first customer. It is a story of a self-made success story and the stuff of heroes.
Undoubtedly it came with hard choices. For instance, Serge Belamant has had to choose between leaving behind a great idea for another seemingly just as great an idea even though it wouldn’t be executed in the exact fashion he would have it executed. Moving on can be a big call even for the best of us probably because it involves cutting losses and turning a new leaf.
It gets even better as Serge Belamant shared his favorite reading. It would seem that the all-time hit by Fyodor Dostoevsky the Russian struck a chord with him as well. It is in his own words the most recommendable business book for blossoming entrepreneurs eager to overcome the business world. Interestingly, Brothers Karamazov the book is available in both English and French.
