Shiraz Boghani also works with Sojourn Hotels handling single asset deal as well as managing a growing portfolio of hotels. He continues to play a prominent role as a well-respected and visionary hotelier.
Shiraz Boghani also plays a leading role in one of the United Kingdom’s top hotel conglomerates, The Splendid Hotels Group. He currently serves the chairman and director of the company. Some of the hotel projects with which Shiraz Boghani is involved include the 121 million Euro Hilton London Bankside, as well as the Grand Hotel and Spa in York, Holiday Inn London and The Conrad London St James. The Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel and The New Ellington Hotel are two large hotels Boghani recently acquired. in 2016, the Asian Business Awards rewarded Shiraz Boghani for his 30 years of exemplary work in the hospitality industry by naming him Hotelier of the Year.
Born in Kenya, Shiraz Boghani moved to the United Kingdom in 1969 to pursue a career as an accountant. He began by working with a small accounting firm called Thomson McLintock & Co. He has since gone on to have a long and illustrious career and is now a chartered accountant. Shiraz Boghani is also a fellow with the prestigious Institute of Charted Accountants which has branches in Wales and England.
The Ismaili communities in the United Kingdom is very important to Shiraz Boghani. He has provided them with a wide range of support through his volunteer work with a variety of Ismaili organizations. He is a prominent and vital member of the UK registered Ismaili charitable organization, the Aga Khan Foundation. Boghani is also very active in the global network of the Aga Khan Development. His work has helped the organization in its mission to meet the needs of Ismaili communities in Central Asia and internationally.
Shiraz Boghani is also a co-founder and partner of Sussex Health Care. The organization runs 20 facilities where they provide people with neurological, mental and physical issues, as well as the elderly with personalized 24-hour care.
